Issue

When a user who has Dynamic Web TWAIN installed on their profile leaves or is reassigned, the software remains installed under their local user account. This causes problems when a new user takes over the computer, as the software will not install with installation files already present..


Solution

To properly install Dynamic Web TWAIN for a new user, follow these steps:

  1. Uninstall Dynamic Web TWAIN from the Previous User's Profile.

    • Navigate to the previous user's profile directory, typically located at C:\Users\<PreviousUser>\AppData\Roaming\.
    • Delete the Dynamsoft folder found in the %appdata% directory.
    • Navigate to C:\ProgramData\ and delete the Dynamsoft folder.
  2. Install Dynamic Web TWAIN for the New User

    • Install Dynamic Web TWAIN as usual
  3. Verify Installation

    • After installation, the CVR website won't throw errors when the user visits page with uploads and scanners will populate the drop-down menus.
